Purling Hiss Beer Label
To celebrate High Bias, the new Purling Hiss release on Drag City Records, Illuminated Brew Works assembled their most loving homage to trashy, American macro-beers; just the kind of beer that built the fuzzy guitar rock of High Bias. I was tasked by IBW to “make a label that looked like something a 15-year old stoner might make in the back of his math notebook”. I wanted the crassness of my line to speak to the spirit of how the beer was developed while nodding to the really raw, free energy of the Purling Hiss record it was made to support.
